Troop 659 celebrated their 27 year anniversary as the troop was founded in 1993. Troop 659 has a rich history of Boy Scouts earning the Eagle Scout rank, which is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America. We are located in the Sienna Plantation area of Missouri City, Texas. The Troop 659 program focuses on developing young men into our future leaders of America. How do we accomplish this? Our leadership focus is to provide a road map where scouts can learn and earn rank advancement to achieve the First Class Rank in the first 12 months with the troop. Our scouts are taught and trained effective leadership, communication and scouting skills. Upon completing the First Class Rank, our scouts fulfill a Patrol Leader Counsel role which fosters the Boy lead troop approach.
Our scout meetings take place each Monday with monthly camping opportunities. Our troop enjoys adventure and learning. Our campout activities include but are not limited to hiking, fishing, rock climbing, ziplining to name a few. We have attended summer camp in Texas and Colorado through the years. We also offer high adventure programs for our older scouts. Our troop engages in meaningful service projects helping the community, whenever possible.
